Challenge

Keeping a fleet of 1,000 machines, divided between forklifts, excavators and aerial work platforms, is a major challenge for Arzel. Each leased asset needs to be carefully monitored to guarantee performance, prevent downtime and meet growing customer expectations. Added to this, the multiplicity of brands and systems makes data aggregation even more difficult. In a context where equipment rental is no more enough, Arzel is looking to stand out by providing added value beyond equipment rental.

Solution

To meet these challenges, Arzel relied on Hiboo, the data platform for its multi-brand fleet, previously split between several systems. Thanks to data centralization, Arzel benefits from full, real-time equipment overview, to facilitate management, optimize maintenance and improve fleet availability. Furthermore, Arzel now uses Hiboo Connect, the new Hiboo module to turn data into a unique digital service. With Hiboo Connect, Arzel securely shares key data on rented machines (geolocation, usage ranges, etc.) with its customers. This data sharing enhances transparency, helps customers optimize equipment use, and sets Arzel apart as a true strategic partner.

At the same time, Arzel matches its strategy to its CSR commitments by optimizing its drivers' rounds, which reduces unnecessary travel and limits its carbon footprint: “Hiboo enables us to optimize our drivers' rounds, which brings a double benefit: less unnecessary trips and a lower carbon footprint,” underlines Patrick Chacun.
